(2006) proposed the culturally appropriate career assessment model (CACAM); this model involves the four steps of gathering cultural information, selecting culturally appropriate assessments, administering career assessments, and interpreting career assessment results.
Similar to the CACAM, the MAP model includes the four phases of identifying cultural data from multiple methods, interpreting these data by developing a hypothesis, incorporating cultural data by using standardized assessments to test the hypothesis, and concluding the assessment process using the results of hypothesis testing.
